Big Spring Clean

The Big Spring Clean is back.  This campaign aims to safely bring communities together across the borough of Sandwell, to help clean the litter that blights our parks, open spaces and streets. Keeping the current government guidelines in mind individuals, schools, councils, local groups and businesses are being encouraged to help keep local communities clean, green and litter free.

The Big Spring Clean is one of Sandwell's most popular community campaigns, and Litter Watch play an instrumental role in coordinating the campaign and the volunteers alongside Sandwell Council and Serco.

The multi-award winning campaign takes place across the borough's six towns and is inspired and led by the borough's residents.

Hundreds of locations have benefited from The Big Spring Clean thanks to the commitment of thousands of volunteers in recent years.

Events can be focussed around any of the following:

  • Litter picking
  • Graffiti removal
